Looking for info on birding in British Columbia, specifically the Squamish area, in late August/early September for proposed trip.
Any input appreciated.

Hallo Jim,

why Squamish, You want go for rock climbing ?
Around the climbing area ( smog bluffs ) is a lot of forest. I saw ( and hear of course ) Stellers Jay.
There is also a trek to top of Stawamish Chief.
But I did not remember about so much birdlife there.
Quite good is Pitt lake, but is in the west of Vancouver.

Best regards
Dieter

Dieter,
After posting the message, my wife also asked the same question: "Why Squamish?" I had been mistaken in thinking there was an abundance of birdlife, but after checking out a couple of websites, looks like we'll give it a miss this go-round.
Looks like we'll be heading to Florida and the Everglades in November/December instead.
cheers,
jim
