A book I would like to recommend is "Bird Tracks & Sign" A Guide to North American Species, by Mark Elbroch and Eleanor Marks.

This is a richly illustrated and full color guide that covers tracks and trails, feathers, feeding signs and caches, pellets, nests, droppings, and skulls.

Go to www.amazon.com and do a search on this book's title to read excerpts and reviews.
