Hi Crew

Have just arrived in busy Bangkok and I'm on the search for some decent sleeping-mats (ie - thermorests or simple foam mats). I have many National Parks to explore and birds to spot... Does anyone know of a good location/store for camping gear (and bird books too)?

Cheers,

Dan

I don't know anything about camping gear, sorry, but Asia Books were the only place I could find the field guide in Bangkok.

I remember there is something on I think Rama IV road

it's the main road that leads east to Lumpini park

I think the shop was on the south side of the road

alternatively you could try one of the department stores in the city - i know birders have bought gear there before. Mozzy nets are cheaper in the sticks though.
