Audio recording ID from mt. Takao, probably brown-eared bulbul (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I think it is a brown-eared bulbul. But in xeno canto I cannot find this type of call repeated with this pattern. Somebody can confirm/correct me?
Mt. Takao, 500mt circa, 17th August this year, mixed forest with scatered undergrowth.
Unfortunately I have not seen the bird.

Thanks for any suggestion.
have fun

Pietro

I'm fairly certain you are correct. I'm a beginner birder, but I live in Japan and there are many "hiyodori" around my town. They are known for being noisy! Your recording sounds just like them.

Thanks a lot!!! :)

...and have fun birding!! And a very warm welcome to Birdforum!!!! There is need for more japanese birders :)

PS= Loved japanese's birds but I found quite hard to bird there. Especially around Tokyo the "green areas" are incredibly fragmentated and, as conseguence, poor.
