has anyone got any info on the 2 american wigeon which were reported at attenborough on wednesday. i was there tuesday and didnt notice any. location and gender would be some good pointers, although i doubt i'll be able to get there til tuesday now!

Seems odd that this record has not been followed up. Attenborough NR seems to attract its fair share of escaped wildfowl though, so may be they were nothing more than that, or Chiloe Wigeon or hybrids..........

I was there Wednesday morning and although it was twilight (a before work visit) there was no sign around the main pools.

I did watch a pair of Goldeneye displaying and then mating which was a bonus, also had two possible female Smew but at distance in the twilight without a scope it was hard to be sure.
