Attracting bullfrogs to an outdoor turtle pond? Is it possible to protect them from predation?

Hello, folks! As I've mentioned on at least one other post, we own a red-eared slider turtle (terrapin) as a pet. She is an adult turtle, surpassing seven inches in shell length. I have been considering moving her to an outdoor pond for some time now, as red-eared/pond sliders aren't always...

Are otters habitually attracted to outdoor ponds? Do otters invade towns?

Hello folks! I have a question concerning outdoor ponds and otters. We had considered building a pond in our yard for ornamental purposes as well as to attract wildlife. Whether or not we stock the pond with fish is really dependent on the wildlife we intend to attract. Ponds without fish seem...

    Texas Cooter

These are a decent-sized pond turtle endemic to Texas. Their shells are usually relatively bland, or so covered in algae you can't see their shell properly, but this one had a particularly spectacular shell.

    Blanding's Turtle

I love working up close with turtles and frogs. The eyes always interest me. This image is not cropped. Shallow depth of field at this close distance meant I had to get the focus sharply on the eye.

    Basking

The pond outisde my office has lots of turtles, of all sizes. On warm days they climb out of the water to bask in the sun.

    Multiple Turtle Pile-Up

I think this is the most turltes I've seen together in one spot. I think most of them are red-eared sliders, but the larger one towards the bottom left is a spiny softshell turtle, which is a new one for me.
