    Feather ID - Los Angeles

I just found this in the backyard. I live in a semi-rural part of Los Angeles, in the mountains. Worried about the little dog. The feather measures about 35 centimeters. I appreciate the help. ***for clarification, I’m wondering if this indicates a bird of prey that could carry off a 10 pound dog.

Thrush ID- Marina del Rey, CA, USA

Can someone just confirm my suspected ID. I don’t want to write what I think it is so there won’t be a bias. One of them is out of focus but shows the eyering.

    Parrots and Parakeets?

I just moved to the Burbank/NoHo area and have heard there are parrots/parakeets around! Does anyone know a good spot to go see them? I've looked around Griffith park without much luck (although I have spotted both a western screech and great horned owl!).
