    Surrey Birding

    After visiting Thursley many times over the Winter, today I finally found the Shrike B (: Its double figures easily but I thought it was a larger bird, looked no bigger than a blackbird to me ! Had some great views while it hovered and swooped from the bircth trees here...

    I was there today and as I was leaving at 3pm one appeared and started hunting in the first part of the walk, would suggest getting there around 3ish as from chatting to some folks I met there that seems to be the normal time they come out to play. Stu

    Hi Guys, I have a long deserved day off tomorrow and was going to head off to Thursley in the hope of seeing the ever elusive Shrike, any recent sightings to spur me on ? Also fancied having a look at Papercourt Meadows, I always take my dog with me are there any restrictions ? Thanks, Stu
