So beautiful Andrew. You've got some cracking pictures there. Don't know how I didn't see it. So I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for it tonight. What time did it start?

Thanks Andrew. Now that's funny, I thought I heard a long time ago that the White Wagtail had a white rump, but when you didn't mention that, I looked in the Opus article, and it doesn't say that there either. I think I've only ever seen a White one once and it was a long time ago...

I don't really know C. I saw a big party of them last summer in S Wales. Presumed that was a family group though, they weren't very close so couldn't check if there were any young ones there. It was middle of June, but I don't even know when they fledge. Sorry, I'm no use to you!!! :unsure...

I think Aberdonians must have cleaned up their act Ian! It's been an awful long time since we last had any glimpse of rubbish in the area!

Yes, with last week's stuff I went a whole day and saw one Blackbird in the garden... mostly underneath the hedge. It was a bit sheltered in that spot. There was a Mistle Thrush in the car park today.... really giving some Starlings a bit of grief LOL

How you picked those buff stripes out, in amongst the dead grass stems that are also buff-coloured Andrew - just defeats me!!! Again you seem to be getting the worst of it over there. We're not getting too much heavy rain, mostly drizzly stuff.

LOL I didn't have that opportunity Andrew. It started raining last night and hasn't stopped.

Very brave of you Andrew. My car had a service today.... they brought it back and later on I went out to see if the bill was in it (like last year) but it wasn't. I was soaked by the time I got back in!

Great to see the Totaliser still running. LOL I wonder how they'll fare though, over the next couple of days.

I've heard precisely one this year. There's usually a flock flying round and screaming for every evening for weeks. A real shame.

Are you sure you can't change it Barry? Hover over the emoji on the RHS and see if it gives you the options. I can, but it may be due to my Magic Mod Powers LOL

I have a pole feeder with mixed seeds, fat balls and peanuts. Also a coconut and hanging seed feeder in a hedge just behind it. That seed feeder gets emptied first. The birds sometimes ignore the fat balls and coconut for weeks then can't get enough of them!! The seed feeders I add dried...

Nice one - it's great to know that you've got some breeding beside you and how lovely to get a sighting of one being fed too!! I heard some signing around the area of my flat in the Spring, so hopefully they've been nesting. It's a very long time since they came to my feeders.

Yeah.... as I live alone, I set up a PoA a few years ago, both health and financial; they can be done jointly up here - separate (so two fees in England apparently!) Also did a new will at the same time. Didn't really think about passwords, as I use LastPass, a password manager. I just need to...

"Lapwing/Plover" seem to be interchangeable names everywhere LOL. The N.Z one, in addition is known as Spur-winged Plover. But how the heck did he end up here I wonder? It looks to be a young one. Dunno.... DNA at a guess!!!

Think my Starling have hatched over the last few days, as they going away with beakfuls of mealworms. The usually manage at least 2 broods.
