    Birds fae Torry

i spent a couple of hours at the ness this afternoon but there wasn't much happening. a whole lot of eiders in each bay, 3 redshank, a couple of goosander, a noisy skylark, some mallards, oystercatchers, fairly standard gulls, a fulmar, cormorants, and a number of meadow pipits around the field...

I have bought another book to aide my ID skills. It's already helped me identify another couple that had me stumped from my trip the other day. I am not fairly certain I can add Rock Pipit and Redshank to my list. :)

    Birds fae Torry

I went back today for test of my shiny new camera and got some interesting birds. I'll need to double check the identity so feel free to correct me if anything sounds odd. Swallows were taunting me at the battery again but I managed a few passable shots of them. My best luck was a wee Kestral...

    Birds fae Torry

Well for the more experienced watcher it may not have been the most productive visit to girdleness yesterday but i had fun. There was a particularly mischevious swallow who delighted in taunting me by flying really low and close to me surely full of the knowledge that they're annoyingly...
