    Lesser Spotted Woodpecker Always believed there should be Lesser Spots in the Goyt Valley but never found one until this morning. Actually seen from the house at the bottom of our drive. Unfortunately by the time I had got the camera and slid down the drive it had gone. Will keep looking.

    Buxton - Peregrine Walking in Buxton early afternoon and saw a Peregrine low over the town centre putting the feral Pigeons into a flap. Anyone know if there is a resident bird as I've not heard any reports of one

    Pied Flys 4 or 5 Pied Flys at usual site in Goyt Valley today(19th). Good viewing as trees are still largely bare
