    Great Day at Minsmere saw a Turtle Dove by North Hide Bushes. Lots of Nightingales in song. Arrived at 6am and it is by far the best time to visit before it gets too busy.

    In 1989 I saw a roost of 57 Turtle Doves at Lound nr Lowestoft Suffolk in June. So In the days of good numbers of Turtle Doves they seemed to flock throughout the summer too

    Suffolk Birding

    My patch is 2 miles inland from the sea at Lowestoft and had Honey Buzzard no 15 fly over today! A single Wheatear was there and I get more satisfaction seeing one here than on the immediate coastline. Three Stonechats and five singing Cettis Warblers were great!
