I haven't been but with it being at Kingsfleet and seeing the photos I reckon it's around the main dyke at Kingsfleet Marshes. Go to Old Felixstowe, parking at TM328376. There is a nearby footpath from the road that goes along the river wall. It's over a kilometre walk to the dyke at TM319384...

If you head in to Great Yarmouth from the south along the A12, there is a road to the left at TG514075. Follow the road past the playing field until you see a turn off to your right with parking places. You can carry along to another parking area closer to the river wall at TG510075. Follow the...

Will do Jonny, although we had a boat full last year some won't be doing it again but there will still be limited spaces. Generally you've got to be available when it looks like it will be good as often there is only a day or two each year when it's really good, unfortunately like that last...

Nice shots Ron. Certainly been a good passage of migrants recently. I was at Landguard y'day morning and several Lesser Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Whitethroat about with two Yellow Wagtail over, six Wheatear on the common and a Pied Flycatcher near the Customs House. Missed the Eastern...

It's great when you manage to catch a good seawatch, I've fortunately had a couple of good ones recently, last year when I led a SOG trip to Corton & we had 3 Leach's Petrel etc. & a couple of years ago I'd planned a pelagic on a Saturday from Lowestoft but the skipper cancelled it due to winds...

As Jonny has mentioned it is walkable along the coast from Aldeburgh to Minsmere with a lot of areas to check out. En route you pass North Warren between Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. Not the best time of year for the site but potential waders about and maybe a late Hobby. At Thorpeness it is best...

Following the track to the reserve from the station, it is the area in front of the furthest hide. If you scroll down this page Felixstowe Birding there is a map of the site. I'd recommend bringing your bike on the train and cycling down, it's quite a walk, even though pleasant. Cheers, Gi

Lovely photo and well done trying to get some activity on this thread! Was out last Sunday, meant to be on a pelagic from Lowestoft but that was unfortunately cancelled due to the winds. Birded Minsmere to Sizewell in the morning, only a few migrants seen - first Cuckoo of the year, 1 Common...

There's no database for date or location that I know of. Andygolfer has pointed you to the BINS site which has all the past sightings sent in to them since the guys have been running it - in the section BINS Gone By. I did start to compile a list of sightings (by going though the Suffolk Bird...

Had an excellent day in the Brecks and Fens on a Suffolk Ornithologists' Group trip last Sunday. Started at Santon Downham and was vey lucky with the weather. The area is always alive with birds and lots of singing and territorial displays. Bramblings, Nuthatch, Siskins, Bullfinch, Grey Wagtail...

Nice one Jonny. Was at Dunwich y'day, breach in beach excluded access further up the towards Walberswick with flooding on Dingle Marsh and lots and lots of gulls present presumably feeding on worms from waterlogged soil etc. Did see a Med Gull but not luck with an Ivory, though other highlights...

Nice to get good views of Bittern and Garganey. I have to say the old hide was pretty uncomfortable to use if in there to long especially when using a scope! Gi
