    yes it was I, luckily I saw it when it was 1st sighted at the cottage before it went out on the wire. the worst thing was I was there 2 mins earlier and the gent who 1st saw it shouted across and asked me to get a picture, and bad timing or what, we're waiting for the bird to appear from a bush...

    Popped over to Chantry to find the Waxwings yesterday and wasn't disappointed, only 5 there but a seed laden bush in Plover Road kept em occupied for a while

    heres a couple from yesterday, probably the best!! very heavy crops taken at 1600iso but its a record, I've pm'd you, by the way the mallards were the give away, they followed the Bittern around as it moved so did they!! Maybe they've never seen one there either!!!!

    Ironically I've seen more Bitterns at Minsmere by sitting on the hill overlooking the reedbeds at Dunwich, you can watch them move around the vast reedbed.     The RSPB had an event on the barge the Victor this week, Thur I believe, it was someone on board that posted the Slav, GND and RNG on the day.     Didn't see it this morning, but I did hear that it was seem later on when I was near the west hide, Osprey flew over, Bittern came up fight in front of Island Mere hide, Hobby made a low pass across the Mere, it was very windy this morning so most birds were taking shelter
