    Tehidy Country Park Female Greater Scaup (with 6 Tufted Duck) on main lake at Tehidy Country Park this afternoon. Also Merlin flew west at Reskajeage Downs along North Cliffs and 100+ Sky Lark in stubble. Cheers Tim

    Porth Reservoir, Newquay Ring-necked Duck and 3 Goosander (all drakes) at the far eastern end of the reservoir 1.15 - 1.30pm at least viewable from the fishing pegs on the south side. Also 3 Tufted Duck (all drakes), 7 Common Teal, 2 Common Gull and Mistle Thrush. Cheers Tim

    Tresillian River, St Clement Avocet (3) still on the Tresillian River 400 yards downriver of St Clement viewable south from riverside cottages 1.25-1.45pm at least. Also Greenshank. Truro River, Boscawen Park - 3 Greenshank, 200+ Dunlin, Kingfisher.

    Loe Beach, Feock 1-2.15pm: Velvet Scoter 2 (both first winters) still on western side of Carrick Roads from Loe Beach, Feock but distant (birds probably south of Weir Point, Mylor). Also 12+ Black-necked Grebe, 7+ Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Great Northern Diver and Common Sandpiper.

    Long-tailed Duck, Loe Pool, Helston Adult female Long-tailed Duck at the northern end close to the eastern bank opposite the hide 3.30 - 3.45pm approx. when flew down the pool, seen to land but very distant. Also female Goldeneye, 40+ Pochard, 40+ Shoveler.

    Ash Parking is at the western end and then follow the path eastwards on the southern side through the woodland then follow sign to fishermens pitches (or whatever they are called) which takes you down to the edge of the reservoir and gives good views all the way to the eastern end. The bird...

    Ring-necked Duck, Porth Reservoir, Newquay I went over to Porth Reservoir at lunchtime today and the drake Ring-necked Duck flew in by itself from the west at 2pm. No sign of the Goosander reported yesterday. Cheers Tim
