    Keep meaning to pop down to Holes Bay, only thing putting me off is crossing that road and metal barrier with a double pushchair. How close are the spoonbill? Thanks.

    Thanks Ray, I did pop over that way earlier, but prob a bit to early for them. I called by Canford Heath and saw several groups of waxwings, but not as many as the 60-70 that others have seen.

    I didnt manage to make Canford today, hoping to do it tomorrow. Anyone know if the Bitterns are still at Hatch Pond? Not been there yet, but had good views last year. I did see waxwings today, but over on the dark side in Hants: waxwing 7 by Dirtywater2009, on Flickr

    I arrived about 1030 i think. I know which guy you mean, but no. I was the guy with a push chair:t: The pic was not taken then, i walked on round and came back about 2 hrs later. The sun had come up and he came really close:eek!:

    Seems to be more birds on the nyger seed today, this morning lots of redpoll and goldfinch and now 6 siskins have turned up, not had siskin in the garden since the start of the winter.

    Thanks SC. Got really good views. I got there just before 4pm. I think i was very lucky as he was on the reed edge. I parked in the Aldi carpark and crossed the road and saw him straight away. Even got a few minutes of filming him:t: He was still there when I left too.
