    The Bonaparte's Gull is showing well at Longham still. Very well. This wasn't cropped and is on a 400mm lens.

    Went to Lytchett Fields today. I forgot my camera, which was a pain, but was impressed with what I saw there. No Green Sandpipers, but I saw around 180 godwits which was quite breath taking. I also met Poole Parrot, so that was rather fantastic too!

    I went to ham common in ham worthy this weekend. I saw oystercatcher, herring gull, black headed gull, jay, starlings, robins, blackbirds, mute swans and coots.     Went to longham today. Saw the black necked grebe in summer plumage and a pair of whitethroats. A green woodpecker kept flying on the path ahead of me, while there was a flock of about 20 pied wagtails.

    Managed to get out to hengistbury head on saturday. Saw my first whitethroat, which was nice. Also saw robin, blue tit, little egret, grey heron, mute swan, greenfinch, pheasant, dunnock, carrion crow, wood pigeon, house sparrow and starling. Annoyingly a hoopoo had apparently been seen...
