Out and about today saw 6 Avocets which look like they will probably nest. Heard my first Sedge warbler of the year. Got a Peregrine (in fact I got 2 if you count the one I see from my bedroom window daily) a few Blackcaps, a Yellow Wagtail, still some Goldeneye around, and three nights ago...

Ok no mention of any breeding birds I saw today but at Welbeck I saw my first Hobby of the year, chasing a flock of Sand Martins. No Osprey though.

I was there yesterday. Didn't get Osprey but did see a Goshawk displaying, loads of Buzzards, 4 Swallows, a few flocks of Sand Martins, and a Sparrowhawk.

Welbeck Raptor point today. Took an hour an a half but eventually a Goshawk showed it's self. It took a dislike to 3 Buzzards which were flying too close to it's territory and saw them off. Also had a Peregrine and a Sprawk, a Treecreeper and Yellowhammers on the nearby tree. Also heard 2...

Went to Welbeck Raptor Viewpoint yesterday. Dozens of Buzzards and just a few seconds fleeting glimpse of a Goshawk display. Nuthatches and a Marsh Tit at the feeding fence. Weather was a bit cold and breezy, not many thermals. No sign of the reported Kite though. I will be going back though...

Does anyone know which is more likely in Clumber Park, Marsh or Willow Tits? I put some seed on a fence post in the car park and stood only 2 feet away and the birds just came and ate. Among them were a coal tit, a nuthatch and a W/M Tit. Amazing to actually see how small these birds really are...

Thanks for that. The birds were spotted near Trumans Lodge which is near the exit gate that takes you onto the B6034 Also Hawfinch reported in Clumber today, anyone know the exact whereabouts?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know whether Willow and Marsh tits can be found in Clumber Park as I saw a couple today and wondered which they might be. If only one type can be found there I can ID them. Cheers.
