    2 male black grouse displaying, with a female watching, at lunchtime on Braco Moor today.

    20 waxwings in gardens in Strathyre this morning, and another flock of 20 in trees by the roadside at the bottom of Loch Lubnaigh. They are such charismatic birds!

    Dead winter plumage guillemot giving a nice meal to the crows just by the side of the lake at Stirling University today. May have been caught up in the strong winds of the last few days?

    Waxwing-tastic day today. Flock of 30+ in Stirling nr Sainsburys at 8:30, then 5 in Doune at 11:00 and 3 in Callander at 14:30. What great birds they are - one of my favourites.

    I know its not a bird, but pleased to see a common lizard run across the cycle path at the top of Glen Ogle by Lochearnhead yesterday. Thats the first one I've seen in the Trossachs. I suspect they are more widespread, just under-recorded.
