    We were up in Glen Lethnot with the Dundee RSPB group yesterday and saw Ring Ouzel, Common Sandpiper, red and black grouse, short eared owl, buzzard, wheatear, meadow pipit, skylark, grey and pied wagtails, raven, lapwing, oycs, mistle thrush and kestrel. darell

    Green Winged Teal still showing well today at Guardbridge. Quite far away on the north shore....scope needed!! Also Greenshank, redshank, black tailed godwits, 7 buzzards above the RAF base, peregrine, dunlin, red breasted mergansers, kingfisher.

    35 Waxwings in my garden this morning, feeding on the apples i have placed on the branches. they then flew back to the tv ariel again for a rest.

    I had 100+ waxwings in my garden today. Started on the tv ariel and then moved to the berry bushes, split up into smaller groups but kept coming back together again. they have eaten all the berries i think, so don't know if they'l be around again tomorrow. Great to see though. Darell

    I had a good time at Montreathmont this morning where i saw 8 jays, 6 great spotted woodpeckers, greenwoodpecker, siskin, great tit, blue tit, coal tit, robin, dunnock, chaffinch, blackbird and red squirrel. I then went on to the basin and saw the ruddy shelduck x9, little egret, 12 ruff...

    I was at Vane farm today for a photography course and the young Tawny Owls were patiently waiting for food. We eventually saw all three in different spots. The course was very good as well and good value for money. Intermediate Wildlife Photography. Darell

    Great White Egret at Balgarvies Loch near Forfar. Showing well and then moved to Rescobie Loch, next door to Balgarvies. Greylag geese have taken over the Ospreys nest at Balgarvies and had a battle for it last week!!! Must be a first!!!! darell
