Yeah.... when I posted that, I was just so excited at seeing two Ospreys at the nest. I didn't realise anything else was going on.

Thanks Ian. I didn't hear that they'd installed them. Last news I had from there was that the Ospreys had moved to a new nest. I must be really out of date as that seems to have been years ago now!!!

That is so sad to hear... been a bit busy this week, so haven't really been watching properly. Guess I caught the times when she was on the nest.

I used to take rides through that wood back in the mid 1970's. I'm not too sure, but I don't think there were any Nuthatch in Scotland at that time? As for the ones beside the Ericht... sadly I've not been able to walk that far for a few years now.

Just been watching a tractor doing a circuit of the field, went right below the nest, which woke her up LOL. Not sure what he's spreading... white powder. Thought it was fertiliser at first, but then he went onto some rough grass by the 'machinery', whatever they call it LOL.

I had a couple of Herring Gulls in the garden this week. Today was a day a rather mixed fortunes. Set off to visit Balgavies - first time in ages. Only to find the car park closed for repairs! No notice about it at the road end unfortunately. So we went up to the view point and got the only...

Yeah... we always went there for our cheese. I was really sad when she closed up. Mrs MacDonald was a lovely lady. She came from Switzerland, which is why the shop got the name. Most of the cheeses she sold came from her homeland. Most people still refer to it as the cheese shop when giving...

Well done on your Lifer Paul!!! And very well done finding so many for Eric too. You know my first visit to Fife for birdwatching ... way back. We'd gone to the hide at Guardbridge. We'd not timed it quite right as the tide was coming in, so someone said had we seen a Red Head. And gave us...

Two Red Kites displaying over the old Swiss Cheese Shop in Rattray (the road to Braemar in case you don't know it). It sits at the junction of Hatton Road and the Braemar Road. I'll get one as a window tick yet!!! Happy Christmas folks.
