    The width of the bill and tail pattern ruled out juvenile Greenfinch for me. Am in agreement with Nick on it being a juvenile Goldfinch.

    Agree with Lou. Amongst other things, that pale-based rufous tail says Long-Legged Buzzard to me.

    Had considered Short-Toed and Calandra as well. Have little information on these juvenile Larks. I bow to Lou and Nick and say.. Juvenile Crested Lark also.
