    Strikingslug, there have some good numbers of Goosander roosting on the Avon Dam, had 29 a week or so ago. They must be somewhere in the daytime? Good if they are on the Erme though

    I think Pied Wagtails like Sainsbury's - there were in excess of 15 in the carpark at Marsh Mills when they were closing on a Sunday afternoon just before Christmas? What I wanted to ask was, what is the liklihood of Waxwings in South Devon?

    Common Crane still near Modbury this morning, lower side of the road along the 'Edmonston straight'. Not that I have seen it yet, but husband has and was impressed.

    At last - something to tell you all, we have a Snow Bunting again on Ugborough Moor, a little earlier than last year and a little shy, will try and see it again in the morning. Also had 50 Golden Plover flying, 1 Meadow Pipit and a snipe.

    Just wondering why there are a lot more mistle thrushes locally? Only in the past couple of weeks if that have these birds appeared, see them a lot in the winter but I have to say they have never been so obvious as they are now? I am on the Southern slopes of Dartmoor.
