da2m If you want Red-legged Partridge, then go to Chiverstone Farm near Kenton. There seem to be plenty in fields around the farm (plus a healthy number of Brambling in the finch flock there!). :t: Grey Partridge are now very scarce in Devon - I haven't got any regular sites for them - if you...

Budleigh Salterton seafront/R. Otter mouth failed to show any Long-tailed Duck, but there were 50+ Common Scoter, a female Eider and 3 Red-throated Divers off the shingle bar. A Common Chiffchaff put in a nippy appearance by the toilet block (and so did I with a very cold wind blowing)! Later...

9 Woodlarks at Exminster, off Deepway Lane this afternoon. They weren't in the usual setaside fields though! They flew over the middle of Deepway Lane while I was leaning on a farmgate, and landed in an adjacent field on the south side of the lane!

I remember the B&W Warbler well! I was living in Wiltshire back then, and it was a beggar of a place to get to from there, all across country, with that last bit from the A38 to Prawle a right so&so (it still is;)), I had just come through Loddiswell and although driving slowly and sedately (Haw...

Gav, I got a reply from Monika today. The Med was ringed in Poland as a 3Cy bird in May 2007, and was reported from Budleigh last November! It has probably shot off to breed somewhere earlier this year, but seems to have returned to the wonderful area that is East Devon! Terry

Second-summer Mediterranean Gull again at Mudbank Lane at lunchtime. What age was the one at Topsham da2m? One of the adults I had on Monday bore a red plastic ring with the legend PAR7 on one leg and a metal ring on the other. Anyone got any info on where this may have originated from?
