    Two Otters crossed the road in front of me as I was on the way to Powderham church early on saturday morning. First definite sighting I've had on the Exe.........not bad after only 17 years of watching.

    Harrier over the Garden about 7:30 this evening, probably a Hen...distant views so can't be sure.

    Found a Hoopoe this morning at the Powderham level crossing, it flew towards Turf .... Good reason to visit the pub later.

    Christmas came early for us today in the shape of a Male Hen Harrier floating over the hills behind Starcross. Only got a brief view as it did the usual disappearing trick over the brow of a hill. I'll get a photo next time.......

    Did my usual bike ride to the Turf this morning.....loads of Godwit ( both sorts) and good numbers of other waders... no Osprey though. Plenty of heavy rain, very refreshing on a bike!
