    Boro Birder, I assume Geoff was referring to the BK at Shaw Farm in the far reaches of Arkengarthdale near The Stang. It sounds like the numbers have increased considerably since I was last there 5 years ago. Might be worth another visit.

    St Aidan's is open via the network of paths on site although the RSPB don't have a formal presence due to continued legal wrangling.

    Neil, Bolton Abbey is just up the road and if you get their early enough there is free parking by the river. A bit late in the season but there is a great range of species such as Pied Fly, Wood Warbler and Redstart plus the usual riverine birds. A circular route from the spot marked might take...

    Rob, other than it's been in gardens in the Moorends area but it's been picked up moving around with the local Starlings I can't add much detail.
