No show from 15.15 - 16.00...:eek!: ................. stood with 2 other guys who'd had a report from RBA, they came from Blacktofts on the way home to Chesterfield. One of them rang in to RBA and reported "no show"...... They'd had 6 Spotshank... Disappointing... I've seen a good few before... -

This was interesting at Fairburn yesterday, not just the bird itself but where it and others were nesting........... the old sandstone wall in the village, opposite the Cut car park. Apparently they've nested there regularly for the last few years. Anybody know if this "nesting in walls" is... -

Not that I'm a"topper"...... but..... we had 4 Buzzards over the back garden this morning, they soared higher over the golf course and out of sight, at least 2 were "mewing". It's not the first time either, the wife saw 4 last year, in the Summer though. -

Flamborough Pleasant day at Flamborough area yesterday... at the Sth Landing 5 Redshank in with a dozen or so Turnstones feeding in the seaweed.. with some Meadow Pipit picking out whatever from the same.... .................. then to finish off, from the Lighthouse CP, cracking views for about... -

Strid Woods Had a walk with my mate along from Barden Bridge down to the Strid, several Pied and one Spotted flycatcher, one Wood warbler were the notables, disappointed by a heard but not seen Redstart But on the way back we watched a swimming L Black Backed Gull take a duckling by grabbing... -
