    Being a shooting estate I would have thought they will be only too happy to take them out. Wish the shooters would have a concerted campaign against them and grey squirrels.

    If you want to photograph them I'd do Filey Brigg, over 30 recorded there the last few days, wrap up and get out there, you'll have it to yourself on a Friday.

    Was surprised at the amount of standing water at Fairburn last night, seen much less in winter. All the reservoirs at this end were overflowing a few days back so this mornings deluge is all heading downstream to top Fairburn up.

    As I thought. Went over the Calder at Brighouse this morning and it was as high as I remember seeing it, worse it was still rising. Imagine there's a lot of nests washed out.
