    Thanks cheshirebirder. First time I've ventured to the US so almost anything will be new apart from Starlings, Pigeons and House Sparrows.

    Thanks LB, the first site looks useful I'll have a read. As for "exotic birds performing amazing feats" at the Tropic Lounge, my wife has warned me to stear clear of those sort of places!! ;)

    Cheers guys, I thought the temperatures would be a problem. Any ideas what species I may encounter in hotel grounds/parks/palm stands etc?
