    Anyway, thanks for all your help as it is greatly appreciated it looks like Austrian pine to me with the rounded cone scales. Thanks again for all the help.

    Can anyone ID this pine tree in NJ? It was planted in an ornamental garden so it is likely it could not be native here. The needles were in bundles to two and the cones as you can see below were fairly large and armed with a sharp prickle. As a member of this forum I know this post is not bird...
