    Trinovid hype

    Although the Trinovids and Dialyts of the 1960s-1980s were not actually waterproof. Surely not better sealed than the Oberkochen Porros. But compactness, or better slim body design, was certainly a selling factor. Cheers, Holger

    I agree with Canip and Henry. That roof prism binoculars without P-coating could not compete in terms of resolution with Porro-type binoculars of similar quality is a scientific fact that was known to the manufacturers (and to a few scientists) since the 1940s.
