Guys, Swarovski doesn't make binoculars in China. A OEM does it for them, like they do for Bushnell, Vortex etc etc etc. Put a sticker on it and it is brand A, B and/or C. Country of Origin is not classified information, just legally required by EU-Law. In May the first batch will be on the...

First of all, it is not based on made in China lamentation or has anything to do with it. The Chinese industry can make everthing we want IF we pay for it. No discussion about that. We agree, but..... For the 25 years we do now do business with the Swarovski family, we were always told that...

Yes, it is made Far East. AFAIK and been told, this is the first time in Swaro's history that they outsource the manufacture of optics. Personally I think the 'Old Man' woud turn himself in his grave, but new management new rules. Having said all this, there is nothing wrong with this bin. One...

Hi S, I don't know how they managed it but normally I have 2 diopter clicks + but with this bin left and right was even sharp. With and without eyeglasses I experienced the same FOV and no blackouts. It is a really easy to use bin with absolute decent optics. From close focus to max infinity...

OK, her are my findings. First of all, as an optics purist I am extremely disappointed Swaro went this way. Having said that, the Chinese did a hell of a job. The view is crystal clear, the bin is built as a tank, it has the same weight and volume as the CL30 line (see pics CLoriginal...

Hi S, Astronomy is a different cup of tea in telescopes. We don't have those. In bins the only one sold to that category are the ELSV10x50 and the Fujinon FMT(RSX) 10x50. BTW, we start at 400,00 dollars/euro's so we can't be active in the <200,00 euro bins.

Hi S, Yes, both in volume as in sales GPO, Bushnell, Kowa, Steiner, Fujinon, Bynolyt, Meopta, Eschenbach together are in minority. Having said this, our target group is the safari traveller (Spitsbergen/Africa/Antartica etc) so we are not the common regular customer shop in optics. Since COVID...

Hi T, In all respect, my little shop can't be compared with Amazon........sigh. Even when I compare the A-brand (Swaro, Zeiss, Leica) sales numbers from those with the 'rest of the best' the A-team wins also. Having said that, Swaro (2023) 82%, Zeiss 14% and Leica 4% market share. My old bin...

This is not a bin designed for 'old kids', but for kids. IMHO, for that reason, it won't interfeer with 'old kids' toys. If it turns out that the optics (glass, coatings, transmission etc) are of the same level as the so called El Cheapo's, Swaro missed the boat. Something I don't believe..... Jan

Try to see it from this side: This bin is the kids first bin, which is built to be used for their kids as time passes in all nostalgia and emotion. For them the name Swarovski will stick forever in their memory and their next (adult) bin will be a......? Right. Own the youth and you own the...

You are absolutely right, but........ we live in Western Europe and the biggest market fot them is Europe and the USA. Having said that, the market in the rest of the world is growing for the A-brands. It is not big but growing. Asia is getting much bigger.

But reality shows different. The NL is the best sold model since it is on the market. First it was the EL and when Zeiss came with the SF, they became the best selling model. Swaro lowered the price of the EL and became number one again. With the launch of the NL the EL is number 2. The CL30...
