    Poor mothing conditions here, but managed three Early Greys, 3 double striped pugs, 7 hebrew character, 3 common quaker and a single small quaker and common plume. An unexpected black-burying beetle at the bottom of the trap added some excitement though.

    Couldn't trap in the week so put it out last night in clear, cold breezy conditions - not sure a single Hebrew Character was worth the effort!

    Work starts are too early for me to put the trap out this week, but I did get a White-Shouldered House Moth in the bathroom last night so I'm not completely missing out :)

    A little too breezy on Friday night, but Saturday morning still brought 9 Hebrew Character, 7 Common Quaker, 3 Common Plume, 2 Clouded Drab, 1 Early Grey and 1 Small Quaker.

    From this morning's trap opening (usual battery powered LED): 9 Hebrew Character, 7 Common Quaker, 1 Small Quaker, 1 Chestnut, 1 Clouded Drab, 1 Common Plume and two new for years - Early Thorn and Red Chestnut.

    I don't think temperature is as important as lack of wind and decent cloud cover, but I'm still learning... Much quieter for me last night - 11 Common Quaker, 5 Hebrew Character, 2 Common Plume, 1 Beautiful Plume,1 Early Grey, and both new for me this year - 1 Clouded Drab and 1 Angle Shades.

    Forecast wasn't great last night with drizzle turning to light rain and temperatures very low, but it was fairly windless so I gave the UV trap a go. 32 Common Quaker, 27 Hebrew Character, 1 Ipsilon Dart Moth, 1 Twin-Spotted Quaker, 1 Small Quaker, 1 Double Striped Pug, 1 Herald Moth, 1 March...
