    Seems like any top tier 12 power binocular should have a good quality built-in tripod/monopod adapter installed at the factory, a lot of the used 12X42 NL have them installed, I’d say that’s pretty telling.

    One would hope they won’t go backwards optically, especially considering how fabulous the 42 is, I don’t really see how they could improve a whole lot in actual image quality, maybe they would be a little less fidgety on eye placement, which would be nice, and I’m sure they would perform better...

    As spectacular as the view of the 12X42 NL is, I wouldn’t expect a 50 to be a lot better, somewhat brighter, maybe a little bit easier view, but also lot heavier, and a lot more expensive, I bought a 10X50 SV in 2015 thinking it would have a much superior view over my 10X42 SV, it didn’t take...
