Seven species today at Pulborough: Red Admiral, Peacock, Comma, Orange Tip, Brimstone, Holly Blue, Speckled Wood. More than one of everything except Holly Blue and it really felt like a spring day despite the wind. Large Red Damselfly to add to the fun and all three newts showing in the pond. John

Speckled Wood in North-East Hampshire yesterday as well as Small Tortoiseshell, Peacock and Brimstone for my best butterfly day so far this year. John

    First Butterflies 2024

Brimstone, Red Admiral and Peacock today. Also had what I thought was a Small Tortoiseshell but with the scatter of Large in the last few days (including two day late reporting of one at Frimley, only a couple of miles from home) I'm waiting for a proper view. John

Four Brimstones yesterday at Eelmoor along with my first Adder of the year. One Brimstone even sat up for me! John
