    I agree, I test it a few times a week on average and it rarely gets anything wrong (herring vs yl gull still an issue ;-)) but the old problems of chaffinch vs redstart call etc seem to have been ironed out

    I just use a Zoom H4nPro with no external mic. Picks up enough to keep me interested

    Only the one addition this past couple of weeks: 42) grey wagtail Nocmig has started picking up and if I wasn't so lazy and just stayed awake in the garden all night I could have added: i) moorhen ii) Canada goose iii) avocet iv) teal v) little grebe

    I think I'm a few weeks behind with this, not that there is much to catch up with tbh! All flyovers: 38. Lapwing 39. Feral pigeon 40. Peregrine 41 Skylark Spring is in the air here so hopefully pick up a few more soon.

    A couple more over the stormy weekend: 36) LBBG 37) Tawny owl Thought the storm may have blown some things in but other than an increase in blackcaps (3) and firecrest (2) nothing much else!

    Maybe its the cold weather further north ;) plenty firecrest here and a fair few blackcap, including a couple in the garden. Hoping the village turtle dove ends up in the garden soon too

    Dozens down here in SW Cornwall, 1 or 2 daily in my garden and easily see 10+ on my patch (when its not torrential rain!)
