    A couple of Scythebill problems

As of today, the mammal taxonomy has subspecies. Also, nearly all species (and all subspecies) have links to iNaturalist accounts, and there's quite a number of extra alternate names.

You could use Manage taxonomies... to export the taxonomy as a .csv file, add a line for Dingo, and then re-import it from the .csv file. Obviously, you'd have to go through this each time you update to the next Mammal Watching taxonomy. I think the real issue is that the mammal taxonomy...

    A couple of Scythebill problems

Find your .bsxm file (aka Scythebill Sightings file). You can use "Open containing folder" from Scythebill's File menu if you've forgotten where you put it. Copy that .bsxm file over - it's got everything you need. Once you've installed Scythebill on the new machine, open the .bsxm file...

    A couple of Scythebill problems

Exactly, if you enter a sighting for a country it's automatically part of your world list. You also don't even have to enter 1/1/1900 for the year - Scythebill's fine if you have no date. You can enter sightings in pretty much any way you want: "Enter sightings" if you want to enter a list...

Yeah, this makes sense. It could just be a clickable icon that pops up for any location that has a lat/long - I've already got an icon that I use on Browse by location to show which locations have lat/long (and that one could be made clickable as well, so you don't need to click "Edit").

Yep, "Remember" in "Show reports" sounds like what you want for automatically counting lists.

    A couple of Scythebill problems

I've definitely got other Scotland users, but maybe they haven't tried to upload Scythebill data to eBird? I think most eBird users do it the other direction - enter data on eBird, then export it into Scythebill; after all, eBird has a phone app. But both directions are supposed to work, and...

    A couple of Scythebill problems

No, don't click the link for Mammal Watching, click "Click to download". You'll get a .btxm file that can be used directly.

    A couple of Scythebill problems

Ah, I see the issue. The short version: Scythebill is asking that the sightings be allocated to one of the counties (or, I guess, shires?) of Scotland, rather than just to somewhere in Scotland. If you move the "My Mause Feeders" location into a county (Perthshire and Kinross?), then it'll be...

    A couple of Scythebill problems

Don't know that I'd call it "beauty sleep", but thanks for your optimism! OK, so the Mammal Taxonomy first: don't go to the Mammal Watching site, go to the Scythebill site, specifically here: https://www.scythebill.com/download.html#extended Second, how to change the type of a site: go to...
