    Those Fiji birds even have a melanistic morph unknown elsewhere, and the vocals are really different, surprised this has not been evaluated yet. I also wonder about pyrrhophanus on New Caledonia, another with very different vocals, and meeki in the Solomons, whilst the resident montane excitus...

    There is that single specimen of the very large maxima subspecies of Crested Coua that is of unknown status in every respect
