    That depends on what you mean by usable. The outer field is not sharp. But it is still usable, for example if birding close range in dense habitat for locating a bird in heavy cover. Overall, I think they are about average for around the $200-$300 price range. $206 on Amazon. Nothing special...

    Yeah I agree. That's why I didn't say most, I said many. And often times (not most of the time) I see people using 8x bins with fov less than 400ft. You guys are a tough crowd tonight. I can see the confusion, next time I'll use word sometimes.

    Well... good thing I have an SLC 8x42 being delivered today! I'm 39 as well. 10x has also been my sweet spot. Now that I have a UVHD+ 7x42 and maybe an SLC 8x42, and have steady hands, I'd like to try a 12x to replace 10x. Would like to hear more of your thoughts on that. What do you mean...

    I recently became a thankful owner of a new UVHD+ 7x42. Chose it over Zeiss SF 8x32 after comparing them. I've been missing out, what beautiful glass and over all binocular.
