    Surely there is some other stopgap option, considering that others, including Leica and Zeiss, seem fully compliant with the requirements. I cannot understand continuing to produce product that poses a known threat to the firm's quality reputation.

    One would think that Swarovski would revert to their prior armor, even if not so biodegradable, rather than continuing to produce gear with a known quality deficiency.
