It's actually quite common for companies to request that the contents of any correspondence are not disclosed publicly. Over here the basic rule is you can't disclose the contents of any correspondence or email unless the sender explicitly agreed to any such disclosure beforehand. Hermann -

AFAIK the green armour of the Habicht is rubber. Basically very similar to the armour Zeiss used to use for their Dialyts. I suspect it's nor used anymore because it's heavier than the armour used nowadays. Hermann -

Nobody said anything about hating Swarovski products. Getting them fixed is a temporary solution it seems, and it's NOT for free. You pay for shipping the binoculars to Austria. And you'll be without them for an unspecified amount of time, minimum 4 weeks. 10 pages of angst? Not really. It's... -

I'm different. Suppose I had bought a pair of NLs and really, really liked them because they worked for me very well indeed. I wouldn't switch binoculars. I would keep the NLs. And if the armour were to start cracking, I would get in touch with Swarovski and tell them in no uncertain terms what... -

Interesting. So you shouldn't use them in the heat. You shouldn't use them in the rain. And don't forget to wear latex gloves to protect the armour from sweat. Maybe it's best not to use them at all. 🐵🙈🙉 Hermann -

I don't recall anyone claiming the majority of the owners have problems with the coating of their NLs. Also I'd be quite surprised if the majority of NL owners had a problem. My impression is that many NLs owned by the people on this forum live a sort of "sheltered life" - they are in many cases... -
