    Beautiful Forests below~ish Medellin

    Cañon del Rio Claro is exactly what you are looking for! It is about a 2hr drive from Medellin. It can be a bit crowded on weekends but it has a beautiful river for swimming/rafting and good lowland birding for things like Antioquia Bristle-tyrant, Grey-cheeked Nunlet, White-mantled Barbet...
