Green Listing 2023 - Joint Thread

Been doing lots of long hikes this year, but not properly green in most cases as a few kms driving involved first, so my four additions since June are all birds seen from home: Alpine Swift, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Cinereous Vulture and Whinchat, the Swift and the Vulture both new for Europe...

Lovely stuff Amy! More modest achievements here but a nice surprise on a walk to the village from home the other day- a Garden Warbler in full voice!

I saw my first here earlier today and noticed it wasn't on the Europe or World totals so I have added it now (with your 8 May sighting of course!).

I've clocked up a few more from my local perambulations (and scanning with the 'scope from the house ;)) , two are new for Europe and the World lists, Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush and Griffon Vulture!

Five more for me so far this month, Linnet, Blackcap and Common Redstart already seen by others but two new ones for the Europe and World List, both seen yesterday, Bonelli's Warbler and Short-toed Snake Eagle. Europe now on a tantalising 199, what will be number 200?

A few more for me, just one that was new for Europe (and the World), a Citril Finch in front of our house on 27 March. Black Grouse has been duplicated, I saw one on 17 Feb and entered it on the spreadsheet but I see Laurent has added it as well more recently.

You beat me by one day Amy, I had one migrating past here the very next day! It was a new one for Europe at least  ... I can however add two for the world this month though, Ring Ousel and Black Kite.

I've added three to the World List since Friday, a Black Grouse in a tree on the mountain across the valley from our house, an earlier than usual European Serin around the garden and a Lammergeier cruising below the more distant crags to the east of our place.

I thought they would be resident with you, up here at 1000m they are absent all winter, the last one I saw was on October 2(I saw none in September either!).

Four more for the Europe and World total for me, resulting from my very local perambulations: Alpine Chough, Alpine Accentor (on the house!), Spotted Nutcracker and Golden Eagle.
