    I agree with meadow pipit but leg color can vary especially during winter plumage. Color on back and stripes on breast and abdomen are similiar. The stripped head which is visible on your photo says meadow pipit.

    Mike has a good point there during spring migration of Ring Ouzel in Sweden they will disappear and hide in trees low vegetation as soon any disturbance occur - absolutely early visit is recomended. If the behave like they do in Sweden

    Interesting that you mention the leave in long line. I had for some years ago around 20 - 30 Booted eagles at same time when they arrive to Mallorca - area of Far de Cala Figuera / Portal Vells. Do they use different strategy or manner during leaving and arrival?

    Thanks Pep for explanation because there was something I wondered about the especially the head pattern. My first thought was could it be a hybrid but then I landed in that it maybe a normal variation. I have to look at pictures on the South African. According to the love I totally agree
