    Yes. There's no doubt a dedicated macro lens and the right body will get better pictures. But as far as I am aware these are the only compact cameras which will take true macro shots. Personally I'm waiting for the 90mm Olympus macro.

    I have been told 4: 1 and that, I believe is far better, than any macro lens although the new 90mm Olympus macro lens, due out next year, is rumoured to be that.
