Haha yesss!! There's no comparison between a buzzard and a golden eagle, once you've seen a golden eagle!! I love buzzards though, they're probably my favourite bird, I used to live close to a woods in Cumbria where lots of pairs nested and I loved watching them for hours. -

Me too!!! They are so amazing to see. I hung around Ben Nevis for ages one year after some sightings, to no avail. So to see one over my garden actually had me shaking! I still would love to know more about the individual or at least find someone else in Yorkshire who happened to look up at the... -

Yes that's possible, although I haven't seen it mentioned in our local news. I have contacted South of Scotland Golden Eagle Project to see if they can shed any light. We had one really close to here in 2020 (about 20 miles away) -

I am obsessed with them after having a very close chance encounter in Haweswater in 1999. What sort of description do you want? Timings and flight paths or an actual description of a golden eagle? -

A golden eagle just flew South East over my garden in York!!! I have contacted Roy Dennis Foundation to see if there's any tracking for it. I would LOVE it if someone else saw it too!!!!!
