    Welcome to birdforum. I'm afraid that I have very limited experience of this scope, as it is quite old now. Due to the use of standard glass, a zoom eyepiece would most likely be pushing the very limit of the scope at anything above 30-35x magnification, as well as giving a bit of a "pin-hole"...
