    Yes. I’m not really setting a target this year. I do have 10 days in Florida though where almost everything I see will be new. Not sure how much birdlife you actually get to see on a family holiday there though. Looking forward to your 2023 write up

    Emperor is almost the default here (although this year there are loads and loads of migrant)

    Nice shots. I can see what you mean about swanlike. I’ve only recently realised just how many of the Hawkers are migrant as well.

    Haven’t seen a hedgehog in about 6 or 7 years. Would be very happy to see one this year

    I agree. Its much harder work but ultimately far more important. They're both rare by us. There are a few pairs of Marsh on my local patch at cosmeston but I can't think of anywhere else nearby and only one place for willow in county where they sometimes come to seed in winter but are very hard...
