Green Listing 2022 - Joint Thread

We finally moved into our new home, so green sightings from now on should be ok? !!!! We live in Blekinge county, about 30 kms from the coast, SE Sweden. We have a guest house, so birders, and others, are welcome.

Fair comment. Though the sighting was about a month after we arrived. How long one has to stay in a country to qualify as a Green sighting, I don't know! Anyway we are buying a house so I think sightings can be Green from now on, if that is acceptable!!

It has been cold at night but beautiful sunny days, up to 20C. There is a much more dramatic Spring here, the tree go from nothing to full leaf in 3 weeks! Quite beautiful beech woods, as well as birch, oak and ash. And a few fir trees!

My wife and I drove to Sweden. Only 3,200 kms! We are here to see if we like it enough to stay. Having a Swedish wife might tip the decision! It is very different here, many more trees of course so plenty of woodpeckers of course.

I saw a robin at my bird bath today, the first of the year. They are surprisingly rare around here. I see that it is already on the Europe list, which hardly surprising!!

Yesterday I finally saw a Little owl, which has been absent for a while, but is already on the list. Also saw a single swallow, struggling in the strong wind. I don't think it is on the Europe list?

It was total luck. I stepped outside last night to look at the stars, and heard the owl. You will probably beat me to something else!
