    Very early swallows

    Has swallow migration started already? I noted several swallows perched on overhead wires in early August, and a few days ago, a massive flock over Pennington marshes which now seem to have gone. I wonder whether the hot weather has helped in an abundance of insects, and autumn is going to get...
